Welcome to my collection of digital projects! I’ve been building websites and online resources for years, each one solving a different challenge or filling a gap I’ve noticed. From helping Brisbane locals discover their city to creating practical guides for home improvement, these aren’t just portfolio pieces – they’re active, working websites that serve real purposes. I’m constantly developing and improving these projects, adding new content and features based on what users need. Below you’ll find the current state of my digital world, with each project description sharing its purpose, progress, and plans for the future.

Website Library

Website Library is one of my early projects that tackles a problem I encountered while learning programming – the challenge of finding structured learning resources online. While search engines are great for specific queries, I found myself wanting a more organised approach to learning computing concepts.
I built this site to create a framework that brings together quality, free computing resources from across the web. Instead of leaving learners to piece together random information, I developed a curated platform that provides clear learning pathways and shows how different concepts connect.
The project focuses on presenting computing education in a top-down, structured way. It continues to evolve as I add new resources and improve the learning experience based on user feedback and emerging education trends.
Valley Guide

Valley Guide is a website I built to help people get the most out of Fortitude Valley in Brisbane. I noticed that both tourists and locals were missing out on what the Valley had to offer, so I created a digital guide that pulls together everything worth knowing about the area’s nightlife, restaurants, shops and local businesses.
The site maps out the best spots in the Valley, from popular bars and clubs to lesser-known cafes and boutiques. I wanted to make it simple for people to find what they’re looking for in this busy precinct, whether they’re after a night out, shopping, or local services.
This project taught me a lot about presenting local information in a way that’s actually useful. I keep the content up to date since the Valley’s mix of venues and businesses is always changing, helping visitors make the most of their time in this lively part of Brisbane.
AstrologyVids

AstrologyVids is a project I developed to bring together quality astrology content from across YouTube and other online platforms. I noticed there was lots of great astrology content out there, but it was scattered and hard to find the good stuff among all the noise.
The site curates and reviews some of the best free astrology videos available online. I add my own commentary to each video, explaining why I’ve included it and how it might help people learning about astrology. It’s particularly useful for finding lesser-known astrologers who create excellent content but might not have a large following yet.
This project combines my interest in astrology with my web development skills, creating a structured resource that helps others discover reliable astrology content. I regularly update the collection as I find new videos and topics worth sharing.
ComputerSkills.info

ComputerSkills.info grew from my experience teaching computer skills and noticing how many people struggled with everyday digital tasks. I built this site to offer practical, no-nonsense guides that help people become more confident with their computers, whether they’re just starting out or looking to expand their skills.
The site covers everything from basic computer operations to specific tools like LibreOffice and Google Keep. I focus on real-world applications rather than theory, showing people how to actually use these tools in their daily work. Each guide breaks down complex tasks into manageable steps, with clear examples from my own experience.
This project lets me share my technical knowledge in a way that makes sense to everyone, not just tech enthusiasts. I regularly add new content based on common questions I encounter, keeping the focus on practical skills that make a difference in people’s work and daily lives.
icondean

icondean.com is my personal website where I write about topics that matter to me – from world affairs and politics to technology and philosophy. I built this space to share my thoughts on complex issues without the hype and sensationalism that’s so common online today.
The site covers five main areas: Lifestyle, Travel, World Affairs, Computers, and Creative Works. Each section reflects different aspects of my interests and experiences, whether I’m writing about finding balance in daily life, exploring new places, or discussing developments in technology and politics.
I chose to keep the design simple and the writing straightforward, focusing on clear, honest discussion rather than clickbait. It’s a place where I can share my perspectives while encouraging readers to think independently and draw their own conclusions. The site continues to grow as I add new articles and explore different topics that catch my interest.
Free Sounds Info

FreeSounds.info, originally built in 2005, is where I share my collection of production music, drawing from my background as a musician and composer for television and radio since 1995. The site hosts tracks that I’ve produced over the years, along with contributions from musical collaborators and carefully selected copyright-free sources.
Rather than letting these unused recordings sit idle, I decided to make them freely available to the online community. The tracks range from background music to production elements, all available for people to use in their own projects. I built this site to give creators access to quality audio without the usual copyright hassles.
This project combines my music production experience with my web development skills. While the music is free to use, I just ask that users credit the source and don’t redistribute the files. I continue to add new tracks as I produce them, growing the library of available sounds.
HomeUpgrade.com.au

I’m building HomeUpgrade.com.au to share what I’ve learned from years of tackling my own home improvement projects. After countless weekends spent on renovations and upgrades – some successful, others learning experiences – I realised there was a need for straightforward, honest advice from a fellow homeowner’s perspective.
The site is growing to include practical guides, genuine product reviews, and step-by-step tutorials across categories like appliances, furniture, outdoor spaces, and DIY projects. I’m focusing on real-world solutions that actually work in Aussie homes, without the glossy magazine perfection that often makes home improvement feel unattainable.
As I develop the site, I’m committed to creating content that helps both experienced DIYers and complete beginners tackle their home projects with confidence.
Travel Brisbane

The site features our honest takes on Brisbane’s food scene, hidden spots, and day trip destinations. We’re building detailed neighbourhood guides, writing about free and family-friendly activities, and sharing practical tips about getting around. Everything’s based on places we’ve actually visited and experiences we’ve had ourselves.
We’re constantly exploring new areas and updating the site with fresh discoveries, focusing on the kind of authentic local knowledge we wished we’d had when we first arrived.
Cathedral Place Brisbane

I started Cathedral Place Brisbane initially as a resource for residents of our apartment complex in Fortitude Valley, but it’s grown into something much bigger. After seeing how many people were searching for practical advice about apartment living, I expanded the site to help anyone navigating life in Brisbane’s urban spaces.
While the site still includes specific information about Cathedral Place’s facilities and community, it now covers everything from finding pet-friendly apartments to maximising small spaces and understanding body corporate regulations. I regularly update the content with practical guides, market insights, and living solutions based on real experiences.
The site has evolved into a comprehensive resource for apartment dwellers across Brisbane, helping both renters and owners make the most of urban living.
Task Board

I created Taskboard to share my experience with project management and productivity tools after years of working with remote and hybrid teams. Having tested countless methods and systems, I wanted to build a practical resource that cuts through the productivity hype and focuses on what actually works.
The site offers detailed guides on everything from AI-powered task management to effective team communication strategies, with a strong emphasis on maintaining work-life balance. I regularly write about cloud-based solutions, resource allocation techniques, and practical productivity methods that I’ve personally tested.
As someone who’s experienced the challenges of modern work life firsthand, I’m particularly focused on helping readers find sustainable approaches to productivity that don’t lead to burnout. The site continues to grow with new insights and solutions for both personal and professional project management.
iconmusic.com

I built this site to demystify production music and help content creators make informed decisions about their audio needs. After years of working in media production, I noticed many creators struggling to understand their music licensing options and wanted to create a comprehensive resource that breaks down the essentials.
The site covers everything from the basics of production music to practical guides on choosing the right tracks for different projects. I regularly update the content with licensing tips, comparisons of music libraries, and real-world examples of effective music use in various media.
As the content creation landscape evolves, I continue to expand the site with new articles about emerging platforms, changing licensing requirements, and cost-effective ways to enhance videos and other media with quality background music.
Moon Signs Info

I developed Moon Signs Info to share my passion for lunar astrology and help others understand how the Moon’s phases influence our daily lives. After years of studying celestial patterns and their effects on human behaviour, I wanted to create an accessible resource that breaks down complex astrological concepts into practical insights.
The site offers detailed guides about Moon signs, phase tracking, and how lunar cycles affect different aspects of our lives. I regularly update the content with monthly lunar calendars, practical tips for working with Moon energy, and explanations of how Moon signs interact with other astrological elements.
While maintaining scientific objectivity, I aim to present lunar wisdom in a way that’s both engaging and practical, helping readers incorporate lunar awareness into their daily routines and decision-making processes.
FileDownloads

I’m currently building this site to share my passion for computers and create a practical guide for downloading files from the internet. As a long-time computer enthusiast, I’m developing content that covers safe downloading practices, useful tools, and tips I’ve learned over years of exploring the digital world.
The site is in its early stages, but I’m working on expanding it with detailed guides, software recommendations, and practical advice for both beginners and experienced users.
